"Tell me what you want and I'll build it for you."

Softeners and filters come in many different types and styles.

To compare prices, you must compare the exact same components.

Hi, welcome to the Quality Water Associates web site. Since 1987 I, Gary Slusser, have been selling and servicing water quality improvement equipment of all kinds and types as an independent dealer and sole proprietor in Central PA. I also sold and serviced water well pumps and pressure tanks. In mid 2002, I started selling equipment and parts to DIYers that contacted me due to my replies to their or other posts in Googlegroups. Now I hope I can do the same for you through this web site.

I had a problem deciding what equipment to offer on the site. I know you want high quality at low prices but, I didn't know if you'd want a Fleck or Autotrol or Clack control valve. I didn't know if you'd want the option of stainless steel and FRP tanks in addition to the standard Structural Fibers polyglass tanks. Or if you'd want upflow counter-current regeneration in addition to regular co-current regeneration. Or if you'd want soft water brine refill. Or variable brining, twin tank softeners, or just regular softeners with regular resins. Or, if you'd want fine mesh resin, or chlorine tolerant resins etc. I also didn't know if you'd want cabinet model softeners with regular or designer cabinets. Or mechanical metered or electronic metered control valves along with mechanical or simple electronic day timer controls.

So, unlike many local dealers and the majority of other web sites which stick with one or two types of softeners, I decided to offer everything you might want and at the lowest prices possible. And then I threw in free shipping.

So... in other words, if it's made and available to an independent dealer, you can get it here. I buy from at least three large (multiple warehouse) distributors around the country.

Giving you all these options and what you want is not the only difference between Quality Water Associates and many local dealers and the majority of other web sites. The most important difference is the personal service. I know, many dealers and web sites say the same thing but... I can prove that I do more than just say that I give personal service. Since 1997 I've been answering questions about water quality and equipment problems that people have posted in newsgroups and on web site forums. If you decide to call, you will be talking to me, Gary Slusser, the owner. That's personal service that most web sites and a local dealer usually can't or won't match. By the way, you will receive the same personal service whether you buy anything or not.

If you buy from me, you won't have any difficulty knowing who you're buying from or where I'm located. Unlike many web sites, my name, phone numbers and addresses are on the web site. For what it's worth, I've always used my name on every newsgroup and web site BB reply or post I've made concerning water quality and/or equipment questions and problems. Many of my competitors make you hunt to find any information about them and in many cases, even then you won't find any. Personally, I wouldn't buy water treatment equipment from a site that I couldn't find out where they are located. Would you?

The public forums on my bulletin board are open to anyone that remains civil and refrains from name calling of any kind.

I offered the same personal service in my local area, a 50-80 mile radius of Montandon PA 17850. That's two miles east of Lewisburg PA 17837 and 4 miles south of Milton PA 17847. See the map below. As of Oct 2006 I have moved to Nescopeck PA. Actually that is for a mailing address only. I have taken my business, my alarm dog miniture Schanuzer and my wife on the road. We all live in our motor home and travel the country anywhere we have cell phone and internet service for the business.

Update, in Nov. '06 we had an automatic satellite dish installed on the roof that alows us internet and TV anywhere in North America that we can see the SW sky. Also, I installed a roof top cell phone antenna and an amplifier with an indoor antenna that we use in remote areas. And our 13 year old Schanuzer had to be put down in Feb '07.
